1. Why should I choose teen skin center for laser hair removal?

2. What side effects should I expect after treatment?


The side effects are minimal. Slight redness, itching and swelling of the skin may happen after treatment which in rare occasions may last up to 2 days. Activation of Herpes Simplex infection may occur.
Unwanted side effects such as hypo- or hyper-pigmentation, flare of acne or, in extreme cases, burning of the skin can be reduced by treatment with an appropriate laser type used at appropriate settings for the individual’s skin type and treatment area. We achieved this goal by using Vectus laser and our experienced personnel.

3. How many treatments do I need to permanently get rid of the unwanted hair?


During each treatment session, laser targets the hair follicles, which are at their active growth phase. Because not all hair follicles are in the same growth stage during treatment, additional treatments may be needed to effectively target and disable all hair follicles until hair is completely absent in most cases. The number of treatments vary based on hair and skin type and age. However, with our technology are required than other conventional laser treatments.

4. How does laser hair removal work for teenagers?


Same way as it works for adults.The laser is attracted only to hair that is in growth stage. However, because during puberty new hair follicles are being created,teenagers may need more treatments to target the new hair that they are producing.

5. How old should I be to get laser hair removal?


Thirteen years and older. All hair removals for teenagers need parent or guardian’s consent prior to procedure.

6. Is the laser hair removal for male as well?


The same hair reduction services are offered to men as well.

7. How should I prepare for laser hair removal?


Shave the area of unwanted hair, except the face, a day prior to procedure.

8. How should I care for my skin after the procedure?


Use sunscreen with SPF 30+ for 2 weeks after treatment. For better results we provide Luminix sunscreen and Luminix moisturizer after treatment. Hot shower, scrubbing and exfoliating is not recommended for 24 hours after the treatment.

9. Why should I choose Luminix products?


Our Luminix products are medical grade and FDA approved, non comedogenic, using the pure ingredients for better result. Our products are not animal tested.

10. When should I expect results?


It might take up to1-3 weeks for the hair to start to fall off.
Depending on the area that you’re treating you may need to repeat the procedures 4-8 weeks after. You may need 5-8 treatments.

11. Do you have after school hours?


Yes, we do understand teenager’s busy schedule and offer after school hours and Saturdays.
